A D Herath Engineering is one of Sri Lanka's most respected civil and structural engineering firms. Over 15 years, we have grown from a small contractor into a company trusted by government agencies, developers, and international organisations for landmark projects across the island.
From a small team to a national contractor
In 2009, Eng. A. D. Herath left a senior position at the Road Development Authority with a vision — to build a construction company that never compromised on quality. Starting with a small team of 12, we took on our first project: a 2km rural road in Kurunegala.
Word spread quickly. Clients valued our attention to detail, transparent pricing, and the fact that the Managing Director was on site every week. By 2013, we had grown to a team of 80 and were working on our first government building contract.
Today, A D Herath Engineering employs over 500 professionals — engineers, quantity surveyors, site managers, and skilled tradespeople — and operates across all nine provinces of Sri Lanka. Our portfolio spans commercial towers, expressways, hospitals, hotels, and water treatment infrastructure.
We remain family-led and privately owned, which means every client gets our personal commitment and we never sacrifice quality for short-term profit.
